I've always been into music of sorts ever since my early teens. So after many years of going to the under 18 events and nightclubs and watching the dj's play and mix up their vinyl selection, this also gave me the motivation to become a dj and wanting to have the ability to control and hype up the crowd. Many more years down the line after playing out at some local clubs and many discovering different musical styles like Drum & Bass, Happy Hardcore, Trance, Funky House & Club Classics i then decided that i wanted to try new things and experience a totally new vibe and surroundings.
After hours & carefully selecting the right tracks, I now have gained and learned so much more about how to read the reaction of a crowd and just know when to play the right tune and also in what order to select the tracks that i play, ie by not playing all your biggest tunes within the first half hour of your set!
The biggest buzz for me in dj'ing is playing the perfect record at the perfect moment that sends people crazy on the dance floor,
my objective as a dj every time I play out is make sure everyone has a good time as this in my opinion what it's all about.
I try not to play the same type of style all night as this becomes too repetitive and boring, I like to keep my sets fresh and exciting, also I like to add different accappellas and mix different sections of the records as this also keeps the set interesting.
Each mix is a blend between my musical influences, my mixing past and my ever adapting ability to incorporate new skills and technology, creating new sounds with the help of the Pioneer DJM 800 Mixer. My diversity in musical tastes and ability to pick the mix for the right time allows me to create mixes that are not only unforgettable but individual to the night. My experience has taught me how to to read a crowd, and not only play what they want to hear but to play it in an unexpected way, which pushes them harder. With my innovative style, understanding and love of mixing I am able to create an atmosphere that is unique and am able to adapt to cater for any crowds musical needs, whilst challenging them to expand.
Uplifting & energetic are usually the two ingredients which combine in my dj sets and watching people on the dancefloor feeling this really does have a massive impact on me whilst i am djing. At the age of20 i am still feeling very much enthusiastic about djing as i did when i first started 8 years ago and intend to keep on using this skill that i have to my best & capable abilities
